Lutz would only have to be there a week or so to be on every episode.. T.V. Majic

Reading some of the posts regarding this over on YB is hilarious... I'm reminded of "rasslin' " fans arguing over their heroes by some of the exchanges being posted. (or NASCAR fans - same demographic).

And of course, there's the guy who claims he helped develop the concept, but turned down a TV deal due to it "not being ready yet".. drama drama drama.. LOL

I don't think they have provided any updates since shortly after registration.

HOT ROD is “where it all began,” as the first magazine to cover the hot rod culture. Since that time, HOT ROD has evolved into a brand devoted to everything from hot rods to restomods, barn finds to project cars and everything in between.

Sit rep: . . . Murder Nova is still on the wait list.

Big Chief is still in . . . and he's very modest about his expectations (much more modest than many others would be if they were rockin' an awesome twin-turbo monster like "The Crow") . . . Suffice it to say they've got a lot of respect for their competitors in Unlimited and take nothing for granted.

It's verified that Lutz is still in Oklahoma. Rumor has it that he's even working for the time being out of the Midwest Street Cars' shop. Lutz's '57 has been spotted in the vicinity as well.

Completely unconfirmed hearsay and scuttlebutt from unnamed, confidential sources have it that HRM and Pilgrim may not necessarily be in agreement over the participation of certain people in DW '14 . . . and the sticking point may be HRM's restrictive video policy (i.e. the same one that whacked 1320Video's DW coverage in 2013). Now that SO has climbed high in the ratings and HRM is so keen in controlling/monetizing everything about their race . . . well just follow the $$$$$ and you'll figure it out . . . .

The "Street Outlaws" certainly do want to run DW '14 . . . but apparently the contract lawyers and TV big shots have the final say . . . and TV rights, not on-track performances, are what will decide the question . . . That's sad. It's sort of like when AAA/USAC wouldn't let their "stars" run NASCAR and vice versa . . or the stupid IRL/CART feud.

Murder Nova and Big Chief have plenty of nice things to say about Bangshift . . . and Chad Reynolds in particular . . . but do wonder a bit why they get thumped so hard sometimes on the BS boards . . . .

Wait.... At that time Murder Nova lived in the same town as Todd Martin?
