It's broke like it's going to be a 496/506? Or its valvetrain said NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to the lifters and valvetrain components?

Mine is a slow un-optimized 545 inch BBF. Has run 10.40's in Noble with 3.55 gears and slow-ish 60 foots due to heavy body roll. I added an arb to cure the launch and will do a cam change before DW. Hope to run 10.30's, and maybe a 20. Click image for larger version

It's gonna be a fun year. My goal is the same as 2012, I just want to finish the week with my friends. Anything more than that is just icing on the cake.

They should put me in SR/BB/NA. 68 Firebird with a Pontiac 463, TH350, and a 12-bolt with 4.10's (may switch to 3.73 for Drag Week). Never ran the 1/4 with this combo but it has run 6.98 @ 98mph in the 1/8. Should be low 11's/high 10's in the 1/4.I'm not going to win or even place but that's not why I'm doing Drag Week anyway. #1 goal is to have fun! #2 goal is to finish with no major breakdowns. #3 goal is to finish with an average in the 10's...I'd be very happy with that!

            Drag Week 2014 SR/BB/NA 11.12 @ 118.56 average
            Drag Week 2015 SR/BB/NA 10.84 @ 124.97 average

cracked block, broken piston. I was given 396 with a bunch of compression to run.

Mostly the same tired old BBF that ran a best of 9.82 in 2012. Hopefully the fox body weight reduction plan works out. If not, then a bunch of spray and another class. Goal, finish under it's own power and watch the heads up deal on Saturday.

Lose coolant and go super lean at the same time? Just curious as that is alot of carnage to a big block.

Not that I know, blew a belt once and got warm, not really hot 230, only broke #2 piston and cracked the same cyl. 180 from the piston damage. I was really surprised to find this.
