Since I am already running an intake for a dominator, I am thinking about carrying my current 850 Demon as a spare and running a 1050 dominator. I am just in the looking mode now, still need to finish paying off the rear end, but was wondering which one I needed to be on the look out for. Thanks again. Need you guys to keep me on the "straight and narrow" (opps, hope that didn't cross the line.)

A 2 circuit is better IMO. 4150's are 2 circuit, so the same tuning guidelines apply.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

The progressive linkage is the best for street driving. It is most like a 4150. The soft progressive opens the secondaries earlier and slower which might lead to them being open at cruise. A 3 circuit can be converted to a 2 circuit ( I did mine) and tuned it with direction from some help from the guys on a carb forum. http://racingfuelsystems.myfunforum.org/index.phpLife is short. once you get a 3 circuit dialed in they are better for all the conditions
BUT they are harder to get right... all doms are fat specially in the mid
range... thats where the 3 circuit does help... I have both the 2 and 3
circuit 1050 but I set up my 3 circuit for E-85 and the other is still gas

Best thing I did to mine was to drill and tap the transition circuit so I could use a brass set screw as a jet. That gave me the ability to lean out the low/cruise rpm AFR, but not affect the WOT AFR. It works freakin' awesome now. Way way way way way way way better than the 950HP that was on it during DW 2012.
My thread over there:"List 6464 1050" is on page 3.

I ended up with all 4 transfer slots jetted to 0.055". Last trip to the track I think the my cruise AFR was hovering around 14:1-14.5:1Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.

I never ran this carb before modifying it. I started at 0.055's, changed to 0.052's, which was better for the street, but it looked lean on the track so I went back to the 0.055's. I have since made a few small changes in air bleeds so I could probably go back to the 52's, but it runs real good like it is. I'd rather the tune be closer for the track than for the street though.Life is short. Be a do'er and not a shoulda done'er.
