although the speed holes do account for some of the weight loss i did lighten the front clip with a new nose piece, front fenders got some fat trimmed, the doors got lightened they probally had the most weight they were stock with power windows, locks and speakers but they are gutted now. race weight last year 3450 as of now 2950 but i am always looking for more weight to remove its easier on the wallet than making more power

When I built my race car I had that in mind the whole way.. the
car is 2400# race weight with me in it... it doesnt break parts and
I dont need to make big power(which is easier on the parts and the
wallet) and it still runs high 8s in the 1/4.... I just sold that engine and
am selling the car as a roller.. the car in the little pic on the left

I might do that next year!! Drop my junk in a 2700# Fox.. Be kinda' cool to be the fastest NA car to ever make a pass at DW, and do it from SR.. My junk weighs about 3250, be nice to see what we could do at 2700#..
Bill, I like you too much to do that..Last edited by TheEngineWorks.com; April 5, 2014, 09:24 AM.
