Everyone should capitalize on the popularity of the Street Outlaws show regardless of how real it is. I've seen first hand at our local track car count double and 6 times more spectators just because the Sonoma came to make exhibition passes and sign autographs. They/every involved in the racing says it's real, which it is. What makes it unrealistic is the 405 cars test at the filming location extensively and the guys they race get to only make 1 pass with no on location test hits. There is NO negotiating their show their rules. The only chance an outsider has of winning is luck if the 405 breaks or blows the tires off and your conservative setup works.

Just like a casino . . . the games are set up so that in the aggregate, the house wins . . . .

SEERED is an 8.50 chassis certification so there is no chance I can outrun the "rule bender" without getting disqualified in doing so. I will just have to be satisfied as being the FIRST IN THE EIGHTS!!!!!!!!!! and not the current record holder.

I'd be shocked if the farm truck is that heavy. My 1970 GMC 3/4 ton longbox (with a leaf spring rear) weighs in at about 4200lbs with my fat ass in it.

Doc was the first NA/PS to finish in the 8s . . . which was an accomplishment that should have received more respect than it did in some quarters . . . .

WOW, I must of added a bunch to my old truck. 83 C-10 short step pulled on the Bowling Green scales after a pass 4690. Saddle tanks half full and 5gal fuel cell topped off. We both need some slim fast. (me & truck)
Drag Week 2012 (wet paint and no transmission but finished) Drag Week 2013 Daily Driver finished in middle of pack (again) Drag Week 2014 #56 of 126 Daily Drivers. (getting closer to the 32)

I based my estimate on recollections of taxable weight down in Texas and what Ford trucks I've had weigh. Regardless, Farm Truck is making some power (as I suspect the Green Express will be next year
