I think you are too far east with Z max and Bristol. Frieburger has said multiple times that it needs to stay in the middle of the country. But hey, I am game!
Why think when you can be doing something fruitful?

I'm in and that looks good to me, but I did like the support (fans) at St. Louis. And that track was on the chopping block.
Drag Week 2012 (wet paint and no transmission but finished) Drag Week 2013 Daily Driver finished in middle of pack (again) Drag Week 2014 #56 of 126 Daily Drivers. (getting closer to the 32)

I know I am not fast mid 12's but I have drove my 40ty straight to each event. 570 miles in one day is no big deal.

THE UNOFFICIAL, IRRELEVANT "FIELD-FILLER'S" PERSPECTIVE: And you thought you heard griping about Memphis-to-Tulsa!

Having recently driven my often-hated "storebought" car to and from DC (through the Bristol and Western NC areas, BTW) -- a car which is about 1,000 percent more street-friendly than the average DW machine, I submit that Z-Max is just too far away. The sheetmetal seat/funny car cage people would be nearly dead after ten hours behind the wheel.

HRM is going to do what's best for the old guys in Unlimited . . . that means mid-America and no more than half-day drives.

The hills getting into/out of Bristol will melt trans coolers, I say HotRod ain't got a hair on their AXX if they don't do it.

It didn't really seem that bad . . . but then I've got a manual transmission and it was lightly snowing at times before I got to Bristol . . . and at night, so perhaps I didn't notice much about the grades. She was pulling down about ~ 28 m.p.g. . . .

I'm in, I have lots of jets and lots of drill bits. I can get it to run up there.

Downside it it would hurt the NA Guys more than the power adders. I bet bialy could still run a 6 lol.

If you swap Thunder Valley and Z Max, it becomes more doable. Two brutal days, but they are separated by an easier day... All miles based on Google maps...

                        MONDAY-INDY, IRP
                        TUESDAY-COLUMBUS, OH, 3 hours/174 miles
                        National Trail Raceway

                        Wed-CONCORD, NC 6.5 hours/414 miles
                        Z MAX

                        Thur-BRISTOL, TN 3 hours/167 miles
                        Thunder Valley

                        FRIDAY-INDY, IRP 7/428 miles
                        -------------------------------------------------
                        TOTAL MILES 1222
                        --------------------------------------------------
                        --------------------------------------------------

If you eliminated Z Max, you could add a track like Bowling Green in to get the miles down.

c2xejk, we like your loop sequence better. We thought it would be neat to hit Bristol & Z Max!
Question, would the day at Z Max be shorter in duration?

I think this is well within the realm .... with a few more miles it would
                              work well
