    Arkcity KS "Last Run" car show 2013

    I know most of you guys have DragWeek hangover, and I wish I had it too(next year ). This thread should help with the headache lol.... I am entered in the Last Run car show that is held annually in Arkansas city KS. I plan on blogging/tweeting/posting pics-etc. Follow me on twitter @CardellaDino or check in on this thread. I will try to keep my comments/observations at a PG13 level but no promises, especially after a few adult beverages...

    Is that track still open? I have been there a few times with my Dad but have never made a pass down it.

      Not sure on the track. I requested some information via email and received one vague response. From what I have been told, Sunday they race. Will update as soon as I find out. I'm leaving from Manhattan KS here shortly. It's a little over 3 hours from here...road trip!

        That is traditionally a huge show, and for some reason I've never attended.

            Update...Stopped in a road construction zone on US 77 20 or so miles outside of Arkcity. Ran into some weird dudes in Florenece KS, got my beef jerky, soda and bounced. Florence might be the creepiest town on US 77, with Rock KS a close second...didn't even think to stop and use the restroom...

                    Some rides that caught my eye during registration.

                    No dice on th track. According to the lady at the information booth the track has been shut down for 3 years. Sucks...

                      Update 6:20 am...nice rain shower going on right now. Should be gone by 11am or so. Going to have breakfast and try to get the car down to Paris park by 8am or so.

                      Did some cruising last night...bad ass rides have taken over the town!

                        I used to take my Willys out to their show and go to the drag strip out west of town. I knew Danny Fisk, he also had a Willys.
