  • Getting a Jump on things for the Olds powered Olds

After a few "unforseen issues" last year and having to take PlanB to drag week I've made a concerted effort to get my Cutlass ready for this year. The big lesson learned from last year that was shared with me was don't run too loose of a converter if you are towing a trailer. I changed the converter and am happy to say that I can quickly build 12 pounds of boost at just under 4000rpm and I'm not even on the two step and I now have headlights!

Any changes from here on out will be in the "non disruptive" category meaning i don't have to take the car apart and they are just tweaks, fixes and tuning things.

The season pass for Great Lakes Dragway will be ordered soon and hopefully I'll be hitting the test and tune sessions come May.

Good job! Like I said, your DW experience will be much different this year. Make sure to get video if you can.

Interior getting buttoned up and drive train seems to be solid...the log shows 19 pounds of boost at 4600rpm...if I want ;)

I FINALLY got to take the car out for it's maiden voyage today. The only issue is that the street tires didn't seem to like 16+ pounds of boost so I had to back out of it right away

Shaking down little things, hitting a deer and totaling my daily driver cost me a day getting a new car and I didn't make it to the track today. Tomorrow it's time for some street driving and then hit the track this week for some hard hits....keeping my fingers crossed for no rain this week.....
