DOT-approved tires only. NO slicks! Tires cannot protrude outside top of fender.

Years ago there was a guy in town with a 4th gen that had a ~400 ci stroker with a set of $3000 heads and a big shot of N2O he always ran ET Streets, it had crazy power for a street car in the early 2000s, his words "spinning ain't winning"

        I am asking because I don't know. Is a Rampage a truck?

Rampage out runs challenger in car race , challenger is too slow.

Rampage out runs Ram in truck race, rampage has unfair advantage...

Just my opinion, I would like to hear yours.

Its legally a truck based on the registration.. it shows it
as a pick-up... as to any of the others.. they have just
as good of a chance as anyone... I didnt build this to
be a true light weight.. its 2920 with me and 18 gals
of fuel... sure isnt like my race car... thats 2405 with
me at the starting line with pretty close to the same
engine.... the Rampage has all the interior and more..
but I wanted a nice street driver.. has EFI on it and
iron heads.. those might go.... OR I change to my
smaller back up engine for the race car but with a
milder cam...its a 395ci the one in the Rampage is a
416 but the LSA on the cam in the 416 is 105lsa and
with that over lap its pretty lopey even at 1100 rpm idle..
if I keep the 416 in it I'll pull the iron heads for my W-5
alum heads and save 50# and change to a wider lsa cam
to knock out some of that lope...... still thinking on all of this
          EDIT
All the stuff on this engine is just stuff I had laying around the
shop.. except for the pistons.. I didnt have anything low enough
to run pump gas.. this thing runs great on 87 octane.. thats at
          10.6 compression and a .040 quench flat top pistons with a 22cc
          dish cut in them
Also... since it says Dodge on it and this event is backed by Dodge
I was wondering if it would be allowed... now days RAM builds
trucks not Dodge... so I had to ask if its a Dodge issue or a truck
          issue

Thanks for the explanation. Does the 105 lsa help it run happy on 87?

No.. the 260/270 duration does... the 105 LSA and the injection
dont like each other all that much... a 110 LSA would be a lot
nicer with the injection... the over lap of the 105 is quite a bit
and that messes with the O2 so the injection tends to drive it
fat at idle.. its working but it has a LOT of lope to it.. was a nice
cam in the race car... the bigger duration closes the intake later
so the piston is up higher in the bore which reduces the pressure

                For what its worth.
The Rampage is as much of a truck as an El Camino probably less considering that its uni-body. They are cars in my book and one could argue that original aspect.

I know nothing about drag racing, and very little about lsr. I had a very Stockish mark 8 and a guy had a very modified mercury they both had 32 valve 4.6L v8. I was faster in the mile because of better aero. Maybe weight is more important than frontal area and aero in drag racing?

Maybe I should pick up some ET Streets and show up with the front end loosened up.

Anyone have a used set of these laying around. I can't justify $730 for the event.

That's ballsy coming from a guy that needs a tow strap. But I bet I would have the fastest barrier around.

will be a few Hellcats there... I would sure like to see them change
their minds on the pick up rule.... just as long as its a Dodge... the
rules also say has to be street legal with license and insured.. I have
no issues except the pick up issue.... its suppose to be like 500' long
with no prep....IF its based on the Kansas one... cant see why its
only 500' if its on Woodward.. plenty of shut down area... heard it
was gonna be right at the new big dollar M1 Concourse... for you
guys that dont know about that place..you buy a garage and it has its
own road course and many other racing features.. I havent been
there yet but I hear its SUPER NICE.... but NOT CHEAP...has a 1.5
mile track just for the owners and a 2.5 acre skid pad.. restaurant
                                and other things
I think it is that short because of the Railroad tracks crossing woodward just north of the concourse, they are still active- hate to hit them at speed, (unless of course you are Rod or Rick, there junk only hits about 37mph!!)
