  • Street Race interior

One of the rules for Street Race reads "Must have driver and passenger seats and a fully upholstered interior. A headliner is optional." Does anyone know what "a fully upholstered interior" means? Is that door panels and carpet? What about the area behind the front seats?

    Thanks!

I have always understood it to be carpet, door panels and if there's no back seat, carpet or something in it's place.

I have had the same interpretation. I used a faux leather covering over the back seat sheet metal when I 'deleted' my 71 Mustang's rear seat in 2014. No issue from the DW Police. I will have a headliner in the new car this year even though it will be in SS.

I am glad you brought this up, I need to add rear panels on my car. I bought some 20 years ago just never installed LOL, now to find them!

And how many fauxes had to die just so you could have their hides plastered all over your back seat area?

Joel, given the poor skills of the installer and the indifferent fix and finish of my final product I'm guessing 11.
