In years past you could change at the Sunday check in.. I
would think the same holds true for this year since they didnt
    say different in the rules..
    EDIT
I know I would change to my tow ride if I break on the test day..
    I'm not throwing away $350

Hot Rod has mentioned several times that you can't change DRIVER from who is signed up. They haven't said anything about changing the car, as far as I know, and it has been allowed in the past.

          You can change the car.

You might look into ordering up some drag radials or slicks for the daily drivers or pickup trucks. Hot Rod made a new rule this year, anything on the track must have a slick or drag radial on it.

does that mean you have to put 4 drag tires on a 4x4?

I wonder if they are going to be sticklers about having drive shaft loops? They are supposed to be required if running slicks.

IDK, that sorta seems to be a gray area. However, they are required for every car running 11.49 or quicker regardless of tire type.

My car never had one until I started running drag week in 2012, I put one in there and of course nobody has ever checked.

IIRC, if running any slick or drag radial you are required by the NHRA rules to run a loop.

It's just a good idea not to hurt anyone including yourself to run a loop!

2011, when the check in guy saw the manual transmission he checked to see that I had a driveshaft loop, which I did and only ran a best of 13.3 that year. Wasn't asked or checked in 2012. It really is up to each track how they do inspection. It could literally be Thursday's track that decides to do full tech and find something that keeps you from running there..... Food for scary thought!

I have one in a box for the Firebird. I should install it soon as a good backup car option

I think I'll just take a 20 seconds on my runs.. I'm not putting a drag radial
on my 2 wheel drive dually .... I'm guessing I could talk with the track boss
and tell him I wont run IF I have to break the beams and just back out...
IF I had to take my back up ride
