  • 67 Chevy ramp truck

It was 65* here today in SC so I worked on the ramp. Got the heater boxes all cleaned out and got the fan working. Took the switch all a part cleaned the contacts with a wire brush and put some electric grease in it put it back together and walla it works even on high. I have heat and deforst now. Got the ash tray out and cleaned the ball bearings up and lubed it it slides in and out nicely now.
A month ago I put the new aluminium radiator in it so I did the over flow tank today. No more leaks are puking on the ground.
    Next is brakes.

Went and picked up a Booster and master cylinder late this afternoon for it. Going to get it stopping just fine now I hope. I need to get a E brake setup for it. It's impossible to load a vehicle without a e brake. Got to buy tires some time also. Got to get the seat recovered also.
My buddy has a factory tilt wheel for it also and I have the old corvette steering wheel for it. $75.00 for the tilt ant bad at all + dash pad also.

This is going to be a cheap build well up til I do the LS motor swap!

    More to come!

I did a little more today. Weather was nice again but leaving for Christmas gathering in a bit so only had a couple of hrs this morning.
Swapped the steering wheel out for the old one out of the 71 I had left over. Took the master cylinder loose for the booster add on but didn't get the right pedal to booster rod so I have to order one. Oh well it ant going no where.
The old horn cap cleaned up nicly oh and the horn works now. There was so much grease and dirt on the contacts it wasn't working I cleaned it up good and have horn now.
The steering wheel is for a corvette I had and I'm glueing the horn button back together I hope it holds. I'll see in the morning.

I got the new old corvette steering wheel in and horn cap fixed. Got the brake pedal rod out and have to order a new one for the booster swap. My plan is to add the digital dash in a couple of weeks after the hollidays.

Nice truck, and let me know if you have any questions about the LS swap - I've put one in a '72 C10 myself.

                    Thanks,
I to have already done a LS swap in my 71 C 10. I love the power of the LS motor over the old 305 TPI I had in it before.
Ramp is waiting on push rod for the brake pedal to booster. I'm looking at finding a wreck 80 model dually to get all the front brakes off of also.
Looking at adding these to. 16" simulators.Click image for larger version

Worked on the Ramp Rat some today out in the cold before the sleet and snow started. Got the booster installed and the new push rod adjusted. Brakes seem to be working great. Had to run to O-Reilly's and get a check valve for the booster and 2' of vacuum hose. I need wipers also and forgot to get them. Could use new wires also but that's another day.

Worked on the ramp some more. Decided to take the dash out and clean it up and put new bulbs in. It cleaned up good. Took the E brake out until I can figure out how to make them work again.

30* outside today and I got the dash back in and tore the heater core out to replace it. Want have the new one until Tuesday. I get it in next weekend I hope. There had been a
family of something living inside it. All that crap on the ground came out of it. I guess I get to try some fiberglass work as well the housing has a couple of holes in it to fix.
