trailblazer power steering cooler

On trailblazers, there is a P/S cooler behind the front bumper. I just replaced the rusty lines and the cooler looks just as bad. Anyone think there would be an issue to just putting a transmission cooler in its place instead? I have coolers laying around made for 4 cylinder cars. I'm thinking if it is good enough fo a 4cyl car, it should be good enough for a powersteering system. Its the same shape but only half as lon as the original.

Cooler is a cooler (except for tube vs stacked plate styles)

Lots of off-road guys run transmission coolers to keep their steering fluid from boiling over.
