Way back when......my buddy had an '84 2M4 that the passenger headlight wouldn't go down either. We ran a pair of wires from the lift motor on that headlight to a switch under the dash, you had to hold the switch to make it go down, but it did work for 8 years like that. Was still working like that when he sold the car.
