No need to apologize. I was thinking physical / constructability constraints and not vision / design constraints.

yeah, if you wanted to ruin the car, you could cut open the floor, etc. I already spent a month building the floor to fit a TH400 because that's the transmission the car needs (ok, it really needs a 4 speed, but I can't afford to go that route).

That's what I usually do. But since I'm not racing it often, swapping the rear gears for a few months is a good way to save gas, and make it more friendly to drive around and have fun with.My fabulous web page
