Exactly ... it's prettier than 95% of the entries I have seen at Chump races this year! LOL Get it finished up and start racing.

The team I'm with had our last outing for the season at Mosport last weekend, a double 7-hour event. I drove on Saturday only so that I could do the family dinner on Sunday, Thanksgiving here in Canuckistan. Our little E30 325i finished mid-pack on Saturday, but on Sunday a teammate found one of Mosport's many hard walls with the back of the car about 2/3 of the way through a wet race. I haven't seen the car since, apparently crunched enough that we may have to get another shell. D'OH! Driver was OK though, the most important thing.

      cheers

      • story has it the 325 mill weighs about the same as an aluminum headed 5.0 ... I've been sort of looking at an E30 for an economy car. Ha.

        • Thought I was going for a spin two weekends ago even though we had no windshield but after backing her out of the garage she died. Would start again and die. Chased it down to a bad ground on the fuel pump relay last weekend.

          • Picked it up from the exhaust shop today. Trying to get it finished up for an autocross on December 1. Wheels and tires should be here Friday from Tire Rack, need to build a battery hold down and get it aligned.

The shiny exhaust you see are stainless thrush glasspacks we got on clearance for $20 a piece at summit. There are 2 on there as the car has duals. Sounds pretty good.

                • You'll love those Dunlops, that's what we ran on our 325i this year. Crazy good grip dry or wet.

                  • Looks good but I went out for a cruise with the new shoes and it died about 1/4 mile in. Chased electrical gremlins for three hours but still no fuel pump or spark. Guessing some sort of ECM problem. Have to research what to try next.

                        • After 2 back surgeries and a lost year the Bad Apple is going to make its debut at the NCM Motorsports park June 5 and 6.
Just got it decorated this last week. Only missing fire system, tow points, and roll bar padding to be competition legal. Second seat will come out after May autocross.
