a set of rodlites or halibrand style would be cool, but I got over the Gabriel Hi-Jacker look in the 80's...I even saw a guy do the east coast straight axle front end way back when... Kinda like a Big Daddy Roth "rat-fink" T shirt cartoon...

      Update:

Just received my rear control arms from PMC Manufacturing and shocks from KYB. The control arms look really nice and appear to be very good quality.

        COOL parts

Those forgotten A-bodies are fun to drive with a tight suspension.

I always like the Lagunas, that's going to make a nice ride! Good thing the body parts are in good shape, I'd imagine usable replacement parts are spendy.

One of the guys I hung out with in college has a '76 S-3, maroon, 350. He also had a silver '73 Laguna 454, 4 spd. The '76 was his daily driver and winter beater. It was in pretty good shape for a Nebraska car. He was my only gear head friend my freshman year. I didn't even have a car with me that year.

His roomie was my oldest friend. Dave drove a '75 Malibu coupe forever. It was nothing special, just a stripper with 350 2 bbl, bronze in color. Dave was so not a car guy.

Cool! This will be fun to watch - hope your wife warms up to it eventually.

                Damn I dig that wagon!

My first car was a '74 S-3 400sbc white with maroon factory striping...loved that car. And those cars ride NICE. I'll be watchin.

As soon as I can upload the picture, I will show everyone my "score" from this weekend. Needless to say, it is just what I was looking for.

                    Parts Car

1976 Laguna S3 parts car. Nose is AWESOME and has a ton of parts I need for the green one. Lots of trim and engine compartment pieces I needed. All emblems have the colored strip in them. Back window trim, tilt column, and factory gauge package. 13 hours in the truck to pick it up but well-worth it. I actually gave some thought to just putting it away for a while, just because these things are becoming so hard to find.

                          Like the body style.
I ordered a 1976 a new Cutless Supreme in July of '76 ....checked off all the boxes etc.
                          Looks like a great project.

Thanks for the link. I just started to read the thread and already have some good ideas from it.

Just a small update. Motor is still waiting to be put together. Heads still need to be assembled. I did score a neat pair of DART II valve covers off Ebay and after some research found they were probably from the 80's to early 90's.

Slowly collecting all the parts for the spring build.
