  • 1976 Chevelle Laguna S3

Finally found the car that I wanted after several weeks of combing craigslist. 1976 Chevelle Laguna S3 no motor or trans. If anyone read my other post regarding my 406 needing a home, it just found one. Not cherry, but solid body and frame. Interior is basically stripped but have all the original pieces including the console and swivel bucket seats. Goal is to have it ready for the Power Tour next year, but that might be a wee bit ambitious.

I dig your ride Streetshark..i have been building my Chevelle for several years, and a Laguna 76 front end is in the garage. There are more and more Chevelles from this era being restored or modified, and its good..cause the demo guys and rust states, seems to have swallowed lots of them.

Whats your plans for it,besides Power Tour?

Man do I dig that color. I have always liked these. Buddy of mine almost got killed under one. Stupiditym, really...welding near a gas line ignited the fuel...sure made a mess. Good luck with it, we will be looking forward to seeing progress.

Not bad! I'd like to find a 4-door/wagon of that era to build into a cruiser

Glad you like it. I went to high school with a guy who had one and always liked the looks. It will be a weekend cruiser with occasional drag racing weekends. Mainly a toy to keep me out of the casinos and taverns. Man has to have at least one vice, and mine is bringing home cars my wife hates.

I don't know, kinda thinking about the early 80's style, ass in the air and color matched rally rims. Maybe a set of aluminum slots. Probably change my mind about 6 times before it's done.
