yes that is spray paint yes i need to find away to remove it

now it came with a L67 from a bonnie SSEI (notice the weird coil bracket) not sure if it runs or is in good shape as the guy was running it off of the GT computer which has not tuning for positive pressure those cells are blank in the timing and fuel trim tables on a GT computer. it ran enough though to nuke the 4t65

will be an interesting project as the dirty turbo part of it is me and my friend are literally going to use throw a way junk we both have to build a turbo 3800 using a powerstroke 7.3L turbo and engine that had a knock and using an engine that milkshaked it self for parts. and couple that to a trans that had no overdrive LOL

should be fun but will get the GA farther along before i do much if any thing to it

they have a bunch of different EZ OFF oven cleaner kinds the last time I looked - you want the one with LYE in it. It may be in the ingredients as sodium hydroxide or caustic soda. All the same name for "wear rubber gloves and eye protection" rip paint off of plastic goodness. You may want to test it to make sure it doesn't eff up the plastic too. Polyethylene is pretty immune to it.

you can also see the trans that will be used in the trunk picture but yes using an engine with a knock and then one that milkshaked for spare parts what could go wrong?

taking over under on how long this will survive haha

            Is it big enough?

            Comment

            • #7
actually it;s a little too big at least on the exhuast turbine side so lag will be a bit high.

should be good for 500+ though at 20+psi LOL rotson on low boost was about 400 think they only every ran it at 15psi

also figured out a cheap fuel system using 12 factory injectors by useing L67 heads (supercharged engine) as they have injector bosses in them then a L26 intake (the series 3 N/A engine has injector bosses in the intake) just have one trigger wire drive 2 injectors. will be fin or fail spectacularly but will still be fun

and if not i can get some 80# injectors easily.

oh and a better photo for the radio antenna this is rare as 99.99% of cars came with the radio antenna built intot he rear glass but GM had issues so had to put it on the quarter panel on some early 99's late 98's and early 97's
