Another great Road Kill! I think DF and Finnegan where a little hard on the "blowers" from what I gather at these speeds it takes 5-10 HP to pick up one mph so 20HP on the Dyno should be good for 2-4 MPH they got 2.7 mph or 7.4 HP/MPH. So that is right in the middle of what I would expect it to do. But if you were expecting 100 HP from the blowers than I can see it as a let down.

I did think the Chevy 350 was pretty weak. They should have gotten a (ford) 5.0! Crappy the Capri ran 4 mph faster with out blowers and 48 less ci. Should have gotten a Ford for cheap speed!

Depends on the class and anticipated top speed. I ran my 'Stang with 4 lugs and I think Russell runs 4. Above 150 and things get more intense.

I pulled this from an old post. Get an SCTA Rulebook for current rules. Join the ECTA and you'll get a complimentary rule book I believe. Nothing in here about 4 or 5 lug? That's news for me anyway. Walt still comes on from time to time, I believe school, being a military candidate, and working on an X-plane with his dad are taking most of his time. Shrek may have more to add.

            SHREK - ?

            2.G WHEELS
All nonferrous wheels on which lug nuts would come in direct contact with the wheel shall have a 1/4 in. thick steel retaining plate or large OD heavy gauge individual washers under all lug nuts. This does not apply to spindle mounted nonferrous wheels.
Magnesium wheels are not recommended and, if used, shall have an initial Zyglo certificate and stamp available. Inspections made with tires mounted are accepted. Wheels are to be re-inspected if any adverse condition arises. It is recommended that tire pressure used on two-piece wheels does NOT exceed 60 PSI or manufacturer's specifications
ALL CLASSES UNDER 200 MPH: The smallest part of the hex of a lug nut must be larger than the largest part of the taper of the mounting hole. Lug nuts must torque totally against a wheel's tapered surface. A minimum of 5/8 in. of the stud threads must be engaged within the lug nut.

ALL CLASSES OVER 200 MPH: One inch (1 in.) lug nuts are required on all vehicles. Wheels used must be manufactured for racing or reinforced as below:
