Sorry guys, nothing really to report. We've been discussing the proper suspension layout, from solid, to strut, to double a-arm, etc. for several weeks. Best to understand what we want to do before we start cutting and welding. I think we've finally landed on a strut front and suspended three-ling rear.

But...there is still time to change our minds.

Even on a runway I'd suggest at least a little suspension. Building a vehicle with no suspension is done, of course, but it limits your venues.

So when ya coming to Ohio?

Starting the planning for the next build session, June 4-5th.

After much mucking about, gnashing of teeth and intellectual soup stirring, we've settled on a strut front suspension. We spent a bit of time at the JY looking at different setups on offer. Finally, we yanked a set of 5-lug assemblies off a Volvo 740 wagon. Very simple setup, with the required lug number (although with a bit obscure 5x108 pattern). So we should be able to mock that up. There are some interesting alternatives that we can plug into the Volvo upright:

We'll also take a saw to the rear axle tubes and see if we can get the wide 5 hub assembly to fit. If that's a no go, we'll change to a grand national spindle and hub.
