inspired by this weeks listverse: 10 People Whose Names Were Immortalized In The Oddest Ways
as my genealogy is as freakish as a mutilated military tour unwritten..
I paused at the term "big bertha".. my mom would spout the darndest things, I am finding german origin was some of them. Very french last name on her moms behalf, she knew neither one of her parents... brought up by an irish realm.
its a heart ache no matter how one deciphers a blank past...the way some things get remembered. My mom taught me just by being herself, how these things get twisted.
There is even one with my surname, prefixed "wild bill" jokingly nicknamed after a wild west gunfighter... he ended up the most decorated general in the world, but the folklore of the much simpler exaggerated origin remains stronger.
history is amazing.Last edited by Barry Donovan; August 22, 2014, 09:49 AM.Previously boxer3main

Foreigner with the original lead singer Lou Gramm who was there front man for years.
Kelly Hansen who is now singing leads for Foreigner is very good in his own right but Lou Gramm just sang with so much passion in his voice.
So many of their songs really became classics and their music is hard to forget.
Just my opinion. Jimbo
