I know it's been out for a while but who has seen it. I got it from Red Box last night and me and my youngest watched it. I am not sure what I think, I mean, there was TONS of great racing porn but it seemed a bit choppy. I wish there was some more character development. Overall I enjoyed it and I think it is a must see for any gearhead...If you have not seen it I suggest checking it out.

Done on a budget, so the action scenes aren't very realistic, but still - a great movie!
Peeved - WTH thought Wally Parks was a short, fat, blonde guy?
Look for cameos from the real Snake and Mongoose, Ron Capps, and Roland Leong.Act your age, not your shoe size. - Prince

They did what they could with the budget. Acting wasn't that great, always bugs me. Wasn't expecting much more than a made for TV type of movie and didn't get it.
As usual with movies that cover several years, there was jumping in story lines. Keeping movie short doesn't help that. Also makes it hard for real character development.BS'er formally known as Rebeldryver

I bought it at Walmart for less than $10. Not bad for what it is. I liked some of the cameo's. The story was ok but it was definitely done on a budget. I really liked the footage of the interview Steve Evans did with Snake and Mongoose at the end. After all the movie pointing out Snake as the intense competitor, to have the real life Mongoose say that Snake just wasn't a serious racer like him was too freaking funny. Why think when you can be doing something fruitful?

I liked it over all and thought it pretty cool. It seemed very "Disney" to me. Maybe watching it in a parking lot on Drag Week had something to do with it?Last edited by TheSilverBuick; June 26, 2014, 12:12 PM.Escaped on a technicality.

Missed "Rush" too, because I wasn't going to take my grandson to a R-rated film. We watched Steve McQueen in "Le Mans" (1971) on DVD instead.
Do they make any gearhead movies anymore that (1) are suitable for "tweens," (2) are not stupid, and (3) will inspire love of racing and automotive pursuits? I can't really think of any recent ones at the moment.Last edited by 38P; June 27, 2014, 12:35 PM.
