Sunday actually.. Removed the giant lump of cast iron that used to be a Jetaway transmission from the 62 caddy and tore it apart. As usual there is always a reason (or two) as to why something has been sitting for a looong time. The input shaft was broken in half... Now for a new core.

Went to check on the progress on the trans in my wagon. Still no progress from a month ago. This time I got a LOT of attitude from them. Thinking it might be time to contact the BBB. I was told they'd contact me later today. If word by Monday morning I will take alternative action. Eight weeks is too long for a warranty repair.

VW decided to "improve" sound levels ..........too bad they also created a moisture trap in the process. This one hadn't rotted in the c-pillar behind the quarter glass or beside the rear glass yet, so I dug around for 3 hours last night with a long skinny rod to make sure it never does.
And poochy-mutt helped, in between alerting me to the pair of fox that was visiting.Of all the paths you take in life - make sure a few of them are dirt.

Well, worked on the mazda and found the transmission leak.
The actual banjo bolt that goes into the transmission rotted and is dripping out. Due to that, the pan is rotted out also. I have to call the dealer and get the banjo bolt and pipe monday."I live for myself and I answer to nobody."
