    Brrrrrrr
it did warm for the storm.
I don't know as we will get real cold again for this year.
single digits or more, no problems.

I'll get some shots of the drifts. This roof here, thought I was seeing things. an eight foot pile taking up some big square footage.
I only guessed 20-24 inches.. a lot of wind.
A roof caved in, millinocket. some bowling alley.

    • Been there, done that. Not much this year though. But we nearly always get the wind in this part of the country. Very rare to get what we call "TV snow". The kind that comes straight down & stacks up on fence posts. Hang in there. It will make the spring that much more special.

I just flopped around under the subaru and plucked it out of chest deep buried.

one hook hookup with a steel chain plucked it out with my truck like a toy back there.

I know I am the welder of the subaru now.

plow man of 50 years proclaimed 30 inches...wind blown. He was old when I met him with his brand new john deere in the 80s.
he has the same tractor 28 years later digging out this little town.
the tractor is older than the building. I used to play basketball in the old town hall that has this buildings spot today.
As lost as I became to come back around..
I just loved meeting that guy I thought was old 30 years ago.

His most famous snow story still reigns as 1962. Shut down the town, and remained below zero. All machines were carbed and diesels near impossible. the ground hardened, and snow drifts were like towers to gain a view to stand on.
I only relate as I was launched into machinery in the last of the carb years. I have seen 3feet at once, and 30 belows. This storm was nice. It got real easy after the 1980s.

            • This was out back at a shop I was at last week. I took more, but my phone decided it didn't want to save them.
Rumors of my demise by rollover have been greatly exaggerated.
