  • Meatball died yesterday .

He made it to 8 . We thought we might get one more year out of him ( hip problems ) but it wasn't to be . His stomach flipped and since he was old for his age and has pretty wore out , he was put down . Miss the big guy.

Always hard when we have to put down one of our 4 legged kids! It's happened way too many times in our family! Thoughts and prayers buddy!

We're sending our best wishes and supportive thought - ME, of course, will add prayers. You wouldn't have wanted to be around me when we had to put Beauzer down - I truly can feel your pain.

We've had to do that twice in recent years. It's awful, heart-wrenching but necessary. Thoughts coming your way Dan B.

We understand losing a long-time friend is always hard. We lost our Newfie/Lab cross (my Avatar I need to change) Jack the exact same way on December 26th. He was 10.5 years old and had a very good life as I know Meatball had what a dog! Well, Big Guy gone, we move on it's what we do. Rescue dogs are the best. We got our replacement Tess from South Charlotte Dog Rescue and they are awesome if you are interested the dogs are well cared for. Things will get better and you'll get another companion.

The pics I put up were the 10 pound pup he started as and the 200 pound full grown gentle giant he became . Biggest dog I've ever seen .
