  • Happy Day !

I finally got it running right and out of the garage . Having it get hot in a short manner of time but hoping it's just the problem that a temp sensor plug broke off during this 8 month life keeps getting in the way escapade. Had to take a pic to celebrate.

A couple years ago I felt sorry for you due to all the bad weather you were getting that I didn't get. Seems the shoe is on the other foot now. I can't work in my garage, everything is done in the driveway. This is motivating for me....similar to the beginning of DW13 or Wilmington 9/15.

Not to hijack Dan's thread, but......
Just took a trip from here to Mall of America, then I-90 across SD to the Badlands, Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Devil's Tower, and Sturgis. We took a different route home through NE to see Carhenge then cannon-balled home from there. It was an eight day excursion that was desperately needed. Looking to go to Auburn, IN the second full week of June if I can get one huge glitch unF'd....dealing with the state.

EDIT: I-90 runs across SD, I-80 runs across NE, we spent a day on both.

Road trips are the best ! Sounds like you had a great time . West is my favorite direction to go . I went to Washington once and Breckenridge Colorado another time and when I was 15 to the eastern boundary of California. Those trips I'll never forget. Good to hear from you . The red one , we took it for a drive thru the neighborhood but , I worked on the steering column and made it worse so we bought another one of ebay for 235 with a steering wheel . So it will be a few more days till the boy car drive it . I my start on my S10 project today .

I've been to 35 states, 12 countries, and 4 continents thanks to y'alls' tax dollars and my need to not be in KY at the time. Well, all the but one of the states was due to my dad's love of travel. On this last trip the stars, moon, all the planets, and a few other things aligned themselves to make it possible and the family enjoyed it. My wife had never been farther west than St. Louis and I was the one that took her there. If we'd have had another week we would have gone farther north and west but maybe another time.

I want a short square S-10 for a track only project but I already have a new project for this summer and need to do some small details to the wragon before I'm fully happy with it. Then I've got a '75 Monte Carlo that needs some major love......been reading through Todd's GTO thread....maybe next summer I'll get a rotisserie and either fix it or fubar it. Like any decent gearhead, I have enough spare parts to assemble a 300-350hp small block along with enough spare parts for the vehicles I own to start a parts store. I will never ask what color the interior is when selling you a muffler.

Funny (sic) side note, wife keeps buying small kitchen appliances that either don't get used or put the old ones on a shelf to collect dust then complains that I have seven more motors than I have cars. All my cars get used or worked on regularly.
