Great Looking Flames

I've never been a huge fan of flames painted on the side of a hotrod. I mean, do you really want it to be on fire, or do you just want it to LOOK like it's on fire? I understand painted flames are some kind of a hotrod statement embraced by lots of folk like Darrell Waltrip, he said on a broadcast one time, "They need some flames painted of the side of that car."

Speedway sent me a catalog this week and it's sitting beside my computer. I'm on their list, they know maybe I'll buy something ELSE. I just now really noticed the cover. These are some great flames. Not my style, the whole ride, but I'm surprised that I really like the flames on the side of the car, could do without the little flames on the front quarter panel. The photo of the cover doesn't do it justice.

Ain't my case of Coke . Probably the last flame job I liked was on Jeff Smith's elcomino.

We joke about Cessna Citations having screens over the engine exhausts to keep ducks from flying up the tailpipes...................hahahah............... ..........................
