    Car Songs

    Unit has come up with the greatest idea ever. The next time we get together at the Gear Head Inn, we'll do nothing but car songs. Gosh, what fun. There are so many. And I've got a whole lot of songs to learn.

    Mustang Sally
    Master Mechanic (Johnny Winter song, I can do that one already)
    American Pie
    Little Deuce Coupe (Beach Boys)
    Hot Rod Lincoln
    No Particular Place to Go (Chuck Berry)
    Fun, Fun, Fun (Beach Boys)

    Wow, doing the research, the Beach Boys made up SO many car songs, like them or not, they sang about cars. I think we'll have trouble with the harmony parts with us at GHI, I don't think any of us will be able to pull that off.

    The first band I was in was a surf band (it's TOUGH to be a surfer in Milford, MI but that's another thread) so we did lots of car songs. Dead Man's Curve is a classic and you would have to do Little GTO for Todd. If you can find a girl singer (Ronnie Spector is preferred) you could do Don't Worry Baby". More will come to me.

                              Cruise'n tunes isn't the same as car tune..

                              I see car tunes as songs, based on the vehicle,

                              Example..
                              Ace Speeding back to my baby.. and Kiss Detroit rock city are cruise'n tunes in my mind. Red can't drive 55 same thing

                              Little red corvette, and turbo lover are not about vehicles.. lol
