  • Go or Show?

We're out there messing with the yard and Superman comes over and say's he's leaving for the car show, right here in downtown Cleveland.

He's sure got a show car. An off-year Vette that shines like a brand new penny. There's not a square inch of that thing he hasn't rubbed on. I went down there to the car show maybe 2 or 3 years ago, walked around, bought some boiled peanuts, did the whole scene, but...

I'm not into it. That doesn't blow my skirt up. One thing about it, SM parks his ride in a spot downtown and has folks gawk at it and ask a lot of questions, but he DOES drive the piss out of it once or twice a year on road courses. He's living in both worlds. I told him today, "If I had something to show, I'd go park downtown. But..." No, I'm not into car shows.

Can I keep my Little Boy Card, at least?

Not my thing either - though I have thought of showing Mutt, just 'cause he's interesting (at least, lots of folks tell me he is). But I'd have to clean him up.

PW - your man card is intact. You actually use Red.

I used to do a few car shows but wasn't good at them I guess. I was never around to brag my junk up and answer questions. I was always running around bugging others to race THEIR stuff.

If it don't go don't show, I know some folks are heavy in to it but it's not my thing. I'll carry the Vette to our locale show and to some cruise in's but I'll light'em up when I leave

Just a little too much info PDubuya. Didnt know you were into the cross dressing . Seriously though , a cruise in type car show that last 3 to 4 hours in the evening or night is fine . But there is no way I'm sitting in the sun talking my car up .

I don't get spun up on this, I figure those who show their cars are simply preserving them for me. After all, they die, I buy their car cheap at the auction and run the rubber inside out on it. So please, keep it polished for me.

Dan, I only wear a dress when I'm at home with the blinds closed. That's not for anyone else to see. Let's have that be our little secret....

go to a car show, or sit at home and masturbate to transgender midget porn... hmmmmmmmmmm, yeah, guess which one I'm choosing.

I don't know, if you have a slick car, why sit around looking at it. Go cruise it, go flog it, something other than sitting around doing nothing. I don't get it. The thing that really annoys me about car shows is that 90% of the cars there while look fantastic, run like absolute garbage. That offends me on some primal level that makes me want to snort nutrasweet till I get manilla lung. Especially when the car in question is really only a timing adjustment and set of spark plugs away from running fine.

if I did bumper stickers, I'd put a sticker on my Corvette that says "if this car is at a car show the car is stolen, call police"
                      or
"if this car is at a car show, the owner has gone insane.... RUN!!!!!!"

I was tired by early 20s...
                            that was 20 years ago.

A pickup, mercedes diesel, anthing boxer powered.. home made, whatever.
in fact any diesel at all, I even stopped at a vw rabbit, get a look around at the 45hp I once drove in real world.

the mustang flat plane.. that will be a lot of interest for years. Thinking of future classuca already i guess.

I love going to car shows, but I can't imagine just sitting at my ride the whole day if I ever entered one. I'd do it more because I could stash food and beverages in the car as well as some chairs, so when I wanted to take a break from checking things out, it's easy!

I can spend all day at a car show and still be wanting more. Same way with a track. There's just all kinds of details and ideas to absorb.
                              I'm probably wrong
