Well, its in paint. Last time I painted, had two good arms and painted inside. This time I had to get around strong winds at times swirling up from the bay and a very touchy new compressor. not to mention lousy masking. I gave up on the roof. Will get back to it when I have better working conditions. Stull have a 1/2 gallon of base coat and clear coat left but wind was blowing too hard to put it on the car.
Razor blade is cleaning up windows nicely I think . I will give it until weekend to wet sand and buff. Was using Omni from PPG. Color is a little thinner than PPG Deltron, but clear went on o.k. anyway Yellow doesn't cover all that well in the best of circumstances in my experience..

Finally got a quote back on Sprint engine build; Six month waiting line, $4500-$5500 includes Dyno and results sheet, Not gonna happen I guess. Going to build it myself and see if I have learned anything over the years. Not to belittle builder, they have a really good reputation and lots of experience, just too rich for my pockets..
Don't feel bad, you are not alone....
While someone has to guarantee the build and prove it runs the nbrs.. Not always affordable for us folks.
You can do it.. Might take a little time..
I now have 4 engines, 5 if you want to count one I am supposed to go pick up and one in my car. I am still trying to get my head around how DeLorean could use all of GM as a "pick a part" to get these things in production. He was just not that powerful to reinvent the wheel. It might seem lame, but the parts on my engines are nearly 50 years old. I don't want to try and build a high revving engine with 50 year old, high priced used crap from Ebay. It just goes against my nature; They want $120 for a used water pump that had to be used on something besides OHC-6 and for sale for $20 like it should be priced.
that is a nice combo.
The only I-6 I never had.. I bet its the best.
I drove my 74 chevelle sedan on a 700 mile round trip, the 250 I-6.
the fuel was on par with a 1987 subaru.. and you could not hear the engine at any speed, especially an idle.
Wind on a chrome mirror.
never encountered anything like it again. Not even the novas etc stayed quiet with the I-6. the chevelle gobbled it right up.
A real A (G?) body, I am interested in the outcome.

the death rate and fairy tales cannot kill the nature left behind.
I am pretty much all in with this one. That is to say, I am going to finish it; Its not the car I wanted, but its what I ended up with so will run with it. I am seriously thinking if I can't find a 66 or 67 at a price I can afford, will just sell them all and get another 500 SEC and be done with it. Now that was a car!
