      I'd be awfully tempted to hang up my hat at this point if I was Mr Force - he's pretty much been there and done that as a pro racer.
      I'm pretty sure he could afford to retire in style.
      There's always something new to learn.

          Probably beans. Perhaps the bean counters say that they aren't getting a good return on their investment with him. When things get tight, even "relationships" that have been going on for 30 years are subject to economics. It's still just business, after all.

            My guess is that they don't think the series will have near it's present exposure after Ford pulls out, and they will certainly get much less bang for their buck.
