Looks like there is only a few attending from here. Call my cell Friday and/or Saturday around 2pm each day (I know I'll be inside the buildings at that time) and we can hook up.

I will also be at Bob's Big Boy on Friday evening so if anyone shows up there feel free to call.

I went today. McGann couldn't make it, so I went alone. Lost the vinyl top on my Caprice half way there.

All the big dogs were there today showing off their newest rides Here's a list of who I got to talk today:Troy Trepanier, Chip Foose, Steve Strope of Pure Vision, the Hot Rod TV crew, Crew of Car Crazy, HR's new editorial director Jerry Pitt, Troy Ladd of Hollywood Hot Rods, Bill Hines, and Michael Anthony of Van Halen. I also talked with Paul Le Mat, Candy Clark, Bo Hopkins, Cindy Williams of "American Graffitti" and the guy who now owns the Milner duece, Falfa's 55 Chevy and the Camaro from "Aloha Bobby and Rose" Paul Le Mat signed my copy of the movie.

DF, Sorry I missed you.

I will post some pics once I get em loaded. My camera's battery crapped out on me right after I got Building 4 so I will post what I got.

Sorry about the vinyl. Are you going to replace it, or paint it?
I'm planning on taking quite a few pictures myself tomorrow. I'm getting really excited like a school kid for this thing. Glad to hear it was a good time.

The vinyl was really old and cracking. I was going to replace it anyways. The paint under it is in fantastic shape. I just got to get the old dried glue residue off it.

You can see the pics in Project Cars Update thread.

Here's the view of Mt Baldy from the parking lot. I bet it's even better today now that it is clear.

Yes, it does snow in LA County. We trajecally had four deaths from avalanches yesterday at Mountain High's resort.

This dual quad powered 57 Chevy is a real veteran of LSR at Bonneville. It had dozens of speed tags. It did 166 mph in 1966!! Yikes!! It must've taken 8 miles to slow it down with drum brakes.

My battery's crapped out on me just after taking the last pic. Unfortunately, I missed getting shots of all the major players in Building 4, Trepainier's First Love 36 Ford and Chicayne; Hot Wheels Twin Mill and Deora II; Hollywood Hot Rods Respect Tradition Roadster and european themed roadster project; Pure Visions 70 Charger, 72 Torino GT, Z-28 Nova; and many more.

Hopefully some other carjunkies will post those pics.

Just got back. Met Chuck and Lillard (bbbad2dabone), both really nice guys. Called Denise, got no answer. The pics are being uploaded to my computer now. I too was having battery issues with my camera, but I got some shots. I'll try not to duplicate what reb put up. I got the twin mill and deora II, but I didn't get the respect tradition roadster (I bought a Hollywood Hot Rods T-shirt though, cause Troy seemed like a really nice guy and I dig what he's doing). I'll try to post pics tonight, but I might crap out and do it tomorrow.

Been real lucky so far, made it down Friday with hard driving rain over the ridge route on and only a little ice that excited my wife and I so much that we acted like teenagers lat night at that the hotel. Loading up and heading home in the next hour as next storm is not due to get bad again until the afternoon. Enjoyed meeting 72_Ventura, sorry we didn't get to meet up with you Denise. Tried calling Friday night concerning Bob's Big boy. Had a little problem with my phone and a party started to grow in the hotel parking lot with some crazies including an awesome family from Australia. So driving back to Burbank was out of the question by 7pm. Damn I love this life. I'm a very lucky man.
Will post later when we make it home safely.
Best to all!!!

The "awesome family from Austrialia", were they from Perth and the guys name Craig with a wife and two sons? If so, they're pals of mine. GREAT folks.

I looked for you. I unexpectedly didn't have access to my emails so I couldn't dig up your cell number to call while at the show. You didn't miss much at Bob's on Friday night, a handful of cars BUT there were alot of car people eating inside. Afterwards a group of us went over to the Old Crow Speed Shop located right next door to Hollywood Hot Rods and hung out for the rest of the evening. Would have been cool for you to join us. Next time.

The 661-205 was me. I just looked in my phone and saw the missed call a minute after I called you. I'm a little cell phone challenged. Sometimes can't feel the vibrate or hear the song. We got home safe Sunday afternoon. The rain was just as bad as Friday but at least NO SNOW, washed the car and flew back to Houston for work. I'm pooped today but had a blast. Yep. The 407 was me. I know you hit enough events all over that we'll have another shot at meeting up at some point. I really had a blast, and really enjoyed showing my friends I left back in FL what they're missing out here. All it took was a cell phone picture of the Twin Mill for one of my friends to completely hate me.
I'm going to have to get some of them to fly out for car junkie events.

YOU got your "story" wrong....he avoided ME all weekend. HE knew EXACTLY where I'd be at 1pm on Saturday and even got a reminder PHONE call 15 minutes prior to a planned meet. Third time in SoCal in about 18 months and he's STILL hiding when I roll in. ;D

She called me on the cell from my car, and ran! At least on her call, at 12.15, she told me the "meet and greet" was @ 12.30. NOONE WAS THERE. But, now I find it was at ONE O CLOCK, it all makes sense. BooHoo, she hates me :o

I heard U avoided Groucho for two days :'

YOU got your "story" wrong....he avoided ME all weekend. HE knew EXACTLY where I'd be at 1pm on Saturday and even got a reminder PHONE call 15 minutes prior to a planned meet. Third time in SoCal in about 18 months and he's STILL hiding when I roll in. ;D

I just double checked, it was EXACTLY 12:40pm.......and I can prove it with a scanned copy of my cell phone bill :-*

You're just 'upset' I didn't do to you what I did to your car :o ;D
