Well, fairly good, I think. Radio Shack has their hand held CB's on sale right now. I got one for $79.95. The car charger was another $10. Seems like I've seen them for a lot more, so I bought it.

We use CB at Maxton to deliver results - it keeps that info off the emergency/communication radios. I constantly have folks asking me "what that last car just ran". Now I'll know.

BTW - should I take the CB to Bonneville? Having not been there, I don't know how they communicate.

However this year "hand held" are no longer allowed in push or recovery vehicles.

I'm just spectating so I'll be OK. I understand there is some extreme science involved in getting the best CB reception and broadcasting. I'll settle for sub-optimal results - I'd just like to hear results as well as I can.

That's true Dan. You'll have no problem hearing anywhere on the salt. It's the transmission they are worried about so as a spectator you'll be fine.

The ones I used at Bonneville, would reach all the way back to the Hotel, That way I knew how much my Wife was winning at the Slots. She would call me to see if I needed Food and stuff. Being Skinny like I am, I always needed Food and Drinking stuff.
