Re: 2JZ motors
The version I'm thinking you want is the 2JZ-GTE
That came in the Supra only on the domestic sales side, but it was put in the Aristo over in the Land of the Rising Sun.
The 2JZ-GE (non turbo/non performane enhanced motor) came in the Lexus IS300 and GS 300.

Re: 2JZ motors
We had a 1500 hp example at Spectre. We were going to put it in our '68 Dart, with a powerglide and a 9 inch. It was ready for assembly when we all left, but they scrapped the project and used the parts for something else.
I think the na version is still a stout piece that will take boost if you want. I don't remember the details, but DieselGeek will.

Re: 2JZ motors
NA version is higher compression and doesn't have the forged pistons. It'll take 500-600hp in stock form as far as I know. But the turbo versions are cheap enough, just start with one of those IMO.Originally posted by carjunkiechadWe had a 1500 hp example at Spectre. and all I'm say'n.. (as seen as he ,said the ls/mod /etc couldn't)
is if you're gonna make a blanket statement.. and use the top (i.e. robust) stock engine. to come pair it to the ford mod. motor and the chevy ls..
I can use the zr1 ls.. and make the same stupid blanket statement.. as the top dog ls.. can and will take that power..and more..
min.. you go read it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Re: 2JZ motors
Ok Mental, go build us an LS, stock block, stock internals...
...we'll see how long it stays in one piece.
The 2JZ will do it, and take it. No factory LS can, and GMPP doesn't count.
The ZR1 won't take a whole lot more than it makes.Comment
