    April '09 Issue of PHR

Does anyone think that "Project Talladega" is moving beyond a joke into the realm of absurdity? Honestly, I look at stories on this car sometimes and think the project is more hilarious than Joquin Phoenix wanting to become a rap star.

I like the notion of being different, and think you can make some of the usually neglected 70s iron into decent moving stock, but this whole deal is honestly retarded.

Just curious if I'm the only one who thinks this?

I like reading about the suspension and the drivetrain of the car as it relates to mine very much. But I dont like the theme of the car too much.I think they could have went with a nice street cruiser instead of the primer rolling billboard.

Its an ok car. Kinda niche, but its alright.

Doesn't have to have mass appeal to be cool.

Not my cup of tea but I have no problem with it as a project car and accept that there may well be others out there who are into this sort of thing. And I was impressed by the article (actually two articles) where the various sub-projects were described in detail.

Full marks to Johnny Hunkins for having the moxy to lead from the front. Taking on the greenhorn Liz Miles was a classy and up-to-date move and the PHR project cars -- Project "Talladega" notwithstanding -- are generally relevent to the typical enthusiast, well executed and offer lots of ideas and tips.

I dug on the chevell and the ford (torino?) last year. I hate the Laguna. It leaves the same bad taste that that chewin tobacco car car craft did.

I probably butchered some facts :

Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?

I heard people complaining that her work wasn't very good, and people had complained about some article she wrote... but she's really cute, so I'm thinking our definitions of classy may differ a little.

She's a car junky; I'm all for giving her the benefit of the doubt while she continues to build experience. We can have a conversation in a couple of years to assess the quality of her car crafting and journalistic skills.

however, if she wants to be taken seriously she should look at all the car magazines that have pictures of the article's author posing. I suspect there are very very few.....

I agree she's a car junkie. And I think that's super cool. I don't hold that against her, but my opinion is that her looks and uniqueness has helped her into positions that her skills alone (like any other guy) wouldn't. No big deal, but I see it all the time in my work (and I bet Stoneshrink sees it in his line of work too!).

I actually kind of liked her cars...but I'm a 510 fan as well as a Camaro fan...

As long as you don't stick that Gay ass 1600 in a freaking Camaro...

                            LOL

Sorry Scott... had to poke you with that...

This was honestly started to talk about the Laguna abortion, not a Liz Miles discussion.
