which models would you kill from the BIG 3??...

i would kill/sell? the saturn brand...and saab...
only have one buick model
only one caddy car and one caddy truck...
kill all chevy trucks..make only GMC..that would help save a litte..kill the 5 ft8 pick bed style...

kill the HHR
kill the G5...

kill the sebring convert, Pt (already dead?) and aspen,the journey,the nitro

ford should kill mercury.redunancy at its finest..and dump volvo..sell mazda shares back to the japs.

I'm struggling with some of these...


1) Saturn. The new lineup they have is the best from that marque...small, fuel-efficient.......seems like a smart vehicle to better promote in these times.

2) The Chevy/GMC trucks....time to cut one loose. No reason for having 2 truck lines....styling differences aren't enough to justify running 2 lines.

3) Chevy/Pontiac......perhaps time to fold one into the other? The HHR is a great car for the money......perhaps one that should be pushed harder. Time for Chevy to pare down the SUV/crossover models.......

4) Chrysler....I don't know where to begin here. Killing the Neon was one of the most confusing things I've seen Ma Mopar do.....time to pare down some of the SUV/crossover models...the 300/Charger are outstanding cars.

5) Mercury. This brand has been dead for the better part of 20 years....how much in terms of sales does the "Big M" actually contribute? For that matter, when was the last time Mercury offered something that buyers truly WANTED(other than a thinly-disguised Ford)....time to put it out to pasture.

6)Buick/Cadillac......I figured Buick was the biggest lame-duck in the General's arsenal....will admit without shame that I couldn't be more WRONG.

Cadillac has totally redeemed itself from the old V8-6-4 and 4100 days(the Cimarron, however....bleck)

well the hhr is a nice car (have one..)
just make the outer shell look like a newer car.. lose the retro..
kill one, the malbu or the impala.. both the same car. give ot take a few inches
kill a few of the suvs or move a few to only gmc
make the chevy trucks .. more basic, like work trucks.. i.e. cheaper..
let the loaded one go out the gmc doors..
keep saab, but let the catty designers take a few swings(saab is big over seas,,)don't want to sell that..
kill satern,, and add holden to usa sales..
melt buick and pontiac together ..
and leave catty alone..

ford.. kill linc or merc..
or change it up.. so one has something that the other doesn't..

mopar.. oh boy where to start..
take the nitro.. and make it look like that scoin box on wheels..
take the two cars guys want , the charger and challanger..
and offer "customs" i.e. stripers seats/4 wheels and a hemi
the trucks lose the 20+ inch wheels
make that little car.. (forget name) softer,, as women are the buyers there..

Saturn is a decent car line...just too late to the dance....this is survival mode for Gm

I think Mercury could have a nice line up . They could/should use Lincoln instead of Ford as their base like the new MKS instead of the Taurus/500 nonsense. The Linc is more handsome looking and they should have a new Cougar based on the Mustang but a little softer riding and more Luxury (like before when the world was normal) there is no car in the personal luxury type market.

Saturn has a good line up would be silly to cut cars people actualy buy, malibu or impala pick one....gmc or chevy trucks....drop one....

Ford needs to drop lincoln and merc

Dodge.....hmmm....drop all the damn suv.crossover things.....bring back the neon.....loose all the jeep crap noone wants and build cherokees and jeeps.....quit screwing with a good thing.......but you can bet your ass all the rear drive v8 cars are gonna go bye bye thanks to the environmentaly friendly obama
