Bought a Harley today and got a free Doosh bag

My wife and I have been talking about buying a bike for a while. Coming home from work on Friday I passed a Harley for sale. It was a 2008, 883 with a few accessories such as a dual seat, back rest and some skull trim ornaments and 1304 miles. The price was $6K. No one was home so Sat morning my wife and I stopped by to check it out. My wife immediately fell in love with it. I took it out for a short cruise and it ran very well....enough power for me. The guy right off the bat took $500 off the price even before we got to that point. He even included 2 helmets and all the original trim.


The Doosh bag part? The guy makes and sells carrying bags. The guy was really cool, we pretty much struck up a friendship, even the wifes got along great. Anyway, he was saying he was trying to think up a catchy name. He said at 3AM one day it came to him, the "Doosh bag" Here's his web site www.itsadoosh.com

Sportsters aren't bad bikes...but not one I'd recommend for 2.....too small and under-powered being an 883.

I would highly recommend some different pegs than the factory-issued pieces...any ride longer lasting longer than 30 minutes will have your legs cramped severely(forward controls are GREAT).

Good way to get your foot in the door for H-D's........good trade-in material for a "bagger", such as a Road King.....speaking of which, Matt King would be an EXCELLENT resource for any info.

Yeah, the Harley holds two dirt bags or the dirt bags are in the vacuum and the dirt bags are on the Harley *LOL*

A bagger would be nice but the 883 was in my price range, not the bagger. For now, the 883 will fill my needs. I was already thinking of forward controls.

congrats, I miss all of my HD's, dirt bags or not ;D. Every spring I get the itch to pick up a used bagger and take off. riding to Mexico with Turk and Steve last fall did not help it any. Ride safe!!!

I've got the hankerin for another Harley

Got rid of my Softail Deuce a couple of years back and
miss it on warm sunny days

883 ARE GREAT.. you can not kill them. glad to hear you are riding no matter what it is. harley is running a promo that if you trade in your sporty they will give you msrp on trade for a touring or v-rod. have fun and get out there and ride..

I was just telling my co-workers I have a hankerin to start riding my Motorcycle again :'( But with single digit mornings, inches of snow, and mid-teen afternoons it isn't happening :'(
