Funny... you need to snag second with a clutchless trans... it's freaking incredible... sounds like a motorcycle...

Dude we need a dedicated subject line.

          freiburgersjunkyard.com Forums> FreiburgersJunkyard> Drunkin Drivel > whatt the hekl l make sunmannnn

I will be sure to PM Brian and Chad about adding on to the forum. Or better yet Beagle your friends with Braub, use the inside track.

The New Port is a 3 spd with a very worn out 361, so 1-2 is so much more fun.

Well I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction?

            Shifting gears is fun.

The more animated the exchange, the better.....I've seen a couple of Hurst sticks get snapped because of an overzealous gear-rower...LMAO

You should try it in a 9500 RPM small block with 6.50's in the back and a 3.25 low gear at Eddieville 1/8 mile

i agree the 1-2 shift is money, be it in an automatic, clutchless or clutch..but the funnest to watch.. is the FWD 1-2-1 ;D ....
and that barely beats out the old 1-2-3-R through the traps

Hero/friend of mine had a 302 chevy, leave at 9200, shift at 9200, Doug Nash 5spd, don't remember the rear
gear. Wish I could of measured how high the front wheels were off the tarmac, even hitting third. Ten o's way

Jeff likes to shift while looking at the blue sky! the t-56 in the black cobra is gated so it's lots of fun on the 1-2 shift

The 1-2 is great. I fully enjoy my Centurion's. With the TH400 and 2.93's out back it shows up around 45mph at a lofty 5 grand but hitting the trans governor makes for a wicked hard shift for a docile shifting transmission, usually results in a chirp of the tire and a big grin on my face. Even up here at 6500'.
                        Escaped on a technicality.

i was always a fan of the 2-3 shift in a high power vette with a shifter in it. you can't miss and you don't have to take your foot off the gas

1-2 is good, but when you hit third and floor it at 40 it is a sweet thing in my car.

I remember the 1-2 shift in my 3 speed Gremlin. I was racing at Oswego, banged the 1-2, which of course on a 3 speed is push up and over, and the Pabst Blue Ribbon tapper handle shift knob broke off. I punched the Craig Powerplay 8 track player so hard my knuckles bled most of the way home. The stereo, and the Black Sabbath tape were never the same either.
