Stimulus on a Shingle silver lining: Cash for Clunkers removed

They say ever cloud has a silver lining, and it looks like every big, steaming bucket of crap does too.

I read that SEMA (and the rest of us) got the Cash for Clunkers portion removed from the Stimulus package. This is a HUGE victory for all of us, particularly considering the publicly stated stances of those in charge of the House and Senate.
Let's just hope that they don't decide to quietly slip it in to something else, or make a full-force press for similar misguided policy in the future.

In the meantime, stock up on loaves of bread, because it looks like we're going to be fed a whole lot of Stimulus on a Shingle.

We gotta be relentless on these guys,just like the gun hobbists do.My buddy sits on the Fish and Game board here in our county and they really ban together and get in the fight when they get hasseled by "The Man" .

what about the stimulus package is bad? and how do you feel about TARP?

I'm curious if you're really just anti-everything-Democrat, and if so, how in god's name would you make any kind of comment about Fiscal Responsibility, coming off the last 8 years of Republican leadership? your political stand on here, which is loudly proclaimed, doesn't make a shred of sense to me, honestly. I just can't fathom how someone so staunchly in support of the "right" can even think about poking fun at the current administration's fiscal logic. Plus, you're a journalist, so I"m hoping your response will make me go "Aha!" and not "where does this guy get his logic"

is this a journalist thing? If you're gonna eliminate political discussion then it needs to be done fairly. The current theme of shutting down posts right AFTER someone makes a sketchy post - is gayer than just letting it continue. by far.
