I remember the days when it would have cost you, $6000 or less for a Work Truck. Let them sit on them for a while.Comment

you'd think they'd want to deal..
but nope..
they talk a good game... but..
you get 7g's off(rebate from the factory)
so your saving 7g's off sticker..
so what.. I've always saved 4-7g's off sticker..
they think people a stupid(and i'm sure they get alot of them)
but if the truck is 32g's and I'm giving you(dealer) 25g's and the factory is kicking in 7g's
I just payed sticker for the truck..
sorry.. no diceComment

Re: UN SOLD NEW CARS...
Our local Chevy dealer closed this week-damn shame too, 42 year family owned place, I bought all my GM parts for our business there, as did a lot of other repair businesses. while over there saying goodbye to several folks, I passed by a bright red Avalanche, which has been there for 5 months or so and since I am a red car guy, it always pulls at me. (understand I have no need for another vehicle, much less a fully loaded Avalanche, although I do like them) the place was crawling with GMAC personel, inventorying cars and parts that are being returned. One of the auditors, with his clipboard, saw me eyeing the 41k window sticker and asked if he could help. I told him I would buy that thing right now for 50% off. he laughed and said he was sure I could buy it for 25% off-I laughed right back at him and pointed out I could have done that 6 months ago. He told me they would ship em all back to the distribution point and send em out to other dealers, so I might see it again somewhere nearby, but he didn't think it would ever be half price.67 Fairlane 434 ci/464 hp/488 tq-RIP

Re: UN SOLD NEW CARS...
I read somewhere that they planned on selling 15k this year, and have sold 5k - you probably could get a deal.. provided you could find a dealership that's still open ;)Originally posted by MentalMuffinManhahaOriginally posted by SpiderGearsManthe deals are out there
you just have to work on them

Re: UN SOLD NEW CARS...
Over=production and pricing them to the moon , along with the crappy economy....they're gonna lose their asses on unsold stock no matter what.
They can't re-badge them as 2010 model-year vehicles.....against the law, plain and simple.
