I dig the idea....just not with a GN.
I do often wonder what a GN would be like with a row-yer-own, though. -

Odd probably with the off and oness of boost from the turbo.Originally posted by tiresmoke!wonder what a GN would be like with a row-yer-own, though.Comment

True....but would definitely boost the fun factor, though.
I dunno....maybe a T-Type sans engine and trans, if done correctly....but I just can't bring myself to "defiling" a GN.Comment

I've always liked the G-bodies and thought that would be a neat upgrade.Doing it all wrong since 1966Comment

Re: LS powered 6-speed road racer daily driver.. Buick GN ??
ok if i read this right, it says LS POWERED mening the turbo V6 would be gone. I would be a shame to disassemble a remaining GN, and the extra expense of starting with a GN seems uneccassary---same combo in the same period Monte Carlo=big grins and much cheaper to start with. The GNs were darn good performers but have thier own set of crappy engine issues, which is what kept me from ever wanting one. Oh yeah, and having access to the ongoing carnage on ken duttweilers dyno, when he was helping develop those things for GM.67 Fairlane 434 ci/464 hp/488 tq-RIP

I said yes, but would use a regular regal to save money and painted a color other than black but all the GN touches.Comment

I agree. Why not use a regular Regal(or any G body for that matter)instead of stripping out everything that makes a GN a GN?Originally posted by THUNDERBIRD86I said yes, but would use a regular regal to save money and painted a color other than black but all the GN touches.Comment

When I went to the buick nat's a long time ago there was a ton of 455-powered regals. Cool cars!
Any new LS powered G-body would likely be very cool, and pass emisions too!

Yeah using a GN is a bit backasswards perverted for this treatment. It's just not what that car is.....Comment

I agree with all the others as far as butchering a real GN. But, a GN clone..... with the turbo'ed LS motor and 3 pedals would absolutely rock.Bakersfield, CA.Comment
