Another large dealership closed today. Lawrence Marshall Chevrolet, Cadillac, Ford, Dodge, etc. told their employees today that they were closing the doors. That makes more than a handfull of dealerships just in the Houston area that have closed in the last few months. Three of the dealers were three of the largest Chevrolet dealers in the area. Not a good time to be looking for a job as a mechanic in the Houston area.

Re: Another one bites the dust.
Maybe an opportunity is there some were. Yes they are selling less cars so the warranty market is going south slightly. But people are not really driving less. So the math says cars are getting older = more problems = at least the same amount of work. Might not get to work at a cushy dealership but there has got to be work out there.
Salesman on the other hand....
SteveWell I have stopped buying stuff for cars I don't own. Is that a step in the right or wrong direction? -

As was a faulty head gasket. Why didn't Mopar issue freakin' recall on that damned 2.0??? There are two kinds of Neons in the world. Those that HAVE HAD the head gasket replaced and those that NEED a head gasket replaced. :DIt's really no different than trying to glue them back on after she has her way.Comment
