    The word "epic"

Until a year or two ago, the only time the word "epic" was ever seen was in reference to a stage performance or something. Now its everywhere. After a while a guy gets tired of hearing the same word applied to everything.

    What gives?

I have an idea for a cool word to use for everything-- sipheronomous. As in "The F-bomb is faster than a sipheronomous," and "The snow on Caveman's trailer is deeper than a sipheronomous," and "The wheelstands at Byron this year were more outstanding than a sipheronomous," and "The Red Ball Express is cooler than a sipheronomous."

"Epic" is hereby an overused word, and therefore annoying.

it has a 1/3 of the amount of letters in sipheronomous, therefore, since I'm lazy, I choose epic - - - ;D

          Re: The word "epic"

I agree that the "Epic" phrase has been over-used, and used poorly by the clueless schlubs in the media, much like "phenom".....like nails on a F'ing chalkboard....

BUt c'mon, "Epic" fits the shenaningans we're pulling across the continent with that patriotic-painted pile of rigging.

Plus, "sipheronomous" sounds too damn close to "syphillis"...NOT GOOD

          :D

However, this is an epic post made only slightly better with a Orange Julius.

OJ... two less letters then epic .... and it's edible to everyone but Ryan... who is two more letters as well...

                    OJ wins...

You might be a dork if you say things like "Epic Numbers Matching Rat Rod"

                          "Might" be a dork?

On the other hand, saying "That is one sipheronomous of a rat rod" has a nice ring to it.

There have been several words of the week or month that have come and gone. "Epic" is just the flavor of the month ;D

Anyone remember the "Patina" rage, every post had to have it in it?
This one is just starting to settle down, "Violation"?

I know there are few others but those were the two that have bugged me so I remember them, but time moves on ;D
                            Escaped on a technicality.
