wow...i just noticed that Eagle now offers a 4.500 strock crank for OLds zz...(must be heavy,though.still cool.

can we BIG torque boys and girls...?

who makes the best heads out there for Olds?

Doesn't Joe Mondello still make heads, amongst other items Rocket-centric?

That is a loaded question.

Batten by most standards made the best head out there. However, you have to use custom everything to mount them. (And they are not made anymore.)

Rocket Racing makes a real good cylinder head out of the box but requires a special intake. I run these and like them a lot.

Edelbrock heads are pretty good but it takes some work to get them as good as Rocket Racing's.

As for the crank- I heard that they hadn't made any of them yet. They are in the catalog to gage interest. They require a BBC rod.

i didn't know batten still played with heads ???...was a name to reckon with eons ago....yes,most all stroker stuff is bbc 2.200 based...some 2.100 stuff is filtering down also...

Edelbrock and Bulldog make excellent heads for the Olds Big Block.
