    goodmark cowl steel hood

    anyone seen one on a 80's monty SS
    if so.. did the fit. look o.k.
    looking at either the steel gookmark or the hardwood fiber...
    any input ..thanks
    at crossroads..
    hardwood + made in usa - is it's fiber
    goodmark + steel - made .who knows where

      goodmark is made in Taiwan. I wasn't impressed by their inner fenders. I am still going to use their quarter panel though. I use a glasstek ( not sure if that is how you spell it) 4 inch cowl bolt on hood on the chevelle and am reasonably satisfied with it. I would have preferred a steel hood, but no one makes one that is a 4 inch for the chevelle. any fiberglass hood is going to take some work to straighten out. How tall of cowl are you going with?

                  i'd buy the speedshops steel cowl scoop.. and weld it on/in

                      my buddy has a 86 monte carlo SS...i sold him a harwood bolt on series 4 inch cowl....the finish is like glass...just had to slot the holes so he could move it 'forward' to the nose...gap was way too large...

                          I've got a 2" goodmark hood on my Elcamino. I thought the workmanship on it was pretty good. Fit the first try.

                              I know its not a g body, but the goodmark I bought for my tahoe fit very nice nad was packaged very well for shipping!
