I have known David since he was born. He's nine years younger than me.
I think David (like any younger brother) looked up to his older brother and thought he was cool. His big brother taught him many things... what NOT to do. His big brother was a bit of a rebel that made many mistakes and caused his parents much heartache, worry and grief. David saw these things, and wisely wanted no part of it. David put his nose to the grindstone, did well in school, and learned the importance of a clean conscience.
For fun and relaxation, David persued cars and went somewhere with that addiction. He's obviously very good at what he does. An excellent photographer, mechanic, writer, and knowledgeable in things automotive. He's also a respected brother, son, husband and father. I wish him well in all his ventures, and I know he will.
Although his big brother does not share in his automotive interest, his brother's addiction is different... motorcycles (off road.) Perhaps his brother's addiction would have been "safer" if it were cars... (plastic trophies pale in comparison to all the orthopedic doctors he's gotten to know;D.)
Hats off to you David, you've done well, and I'm proud to call you my brother.
Love ya man...
although I'm still you're big brother, and could whoop ya if I needed to ;)..... John
