    NICE -
I was happy to take a night welding class (which rocked)...
There's always something new to learn.

I didn't take drafting in Jr High because I thought it had something to do with ROTC. ;D But I did take shop.

        Re: Go back to school

Lanier Technical College is real close to me, and they have a Motorsports Development Program. It's full-time for two years, hard to get into (you have to interview and be selected) and they cover EVERYTHING from basic welding, engine building, chassis design and set-up for all forms of cars, to advanced fabrication, machine tools and building your own molds and laying out carbon fiber.

Internships are required, and they've set students up in a lot of professional shops: WJ, Petty Enterprises, Hendrick, etc.

They let me take their welding class, and I learned a ton.
After the class was over, I got a little note from the State of Georgia saying that since I had received an "A" in the class, I was eligible for the Hope Scholarship, which will pay your tuition.

I haven't followed up on that, but I would very much like to take the chassis set up and design class, the machine tool class and maybe the advanced fab class. Gotta get the whole freelance thing running smooth and then probably will see about taking those classes.
