Maybe on an actual woody, its OK. And maybe on a 1969 Kingswood Estate with a 427 and 4 speed, with hideaway headlights. Although if I restored a rough one, I'd leave the fake wood off.

I think it depends on the bodystyle and the vibe of the particular build. If it's a Super Mom special (sleeper) that hauls ass, then the "fake forest" looks good. Otherwise, no.

You've gotta leave some of the packing crate on the sides of the longroofs. Its the right thing to do, kinda goes with the era of the body style.

The only other way (beside the woody wagons) that wood is good is if you're got rainforest wood on the side of your car 8)

Although I'm in the minority here, it really totally depends on the car style itself.
I had a '73 Olds Vista Cruiser and it was bitchin' with the vinyl wood panels.
