Red Ball Express road food & CDs & stuff

So... Now that Elvis is about to leave LA, eastbound & down...

I figured a little debate over road trip condiments was appropriate. ;D

    Here's what I'm bringin...

-Muddy Waters, BB King, White Stripes CDs
    -Beef Jerky (lots)
    -Trail mix
    -shades
    -Harmonica (yup)
-Mountain Dew, gatorade, & Arizona Iced tea
    -earplugs

Its 1100 miles to Erie, we've got 1/2 tank of gas and a pack of cigarettes. Its dark, & we're wearing sunglasses. Hit it.

You nailed the muzak. We'll supplement with the stuff on my IPod.

Harmonica? Your ass better not be dressed up like a hobo.

Google maps says 9 hours....we'll beat the shit outta that.

Yes, and like about 1,000 others, I'm flaking hard on responses. ;D

I'll get on them once I stop procrastinating and doing the work I am supposed to be doing.

I've done Erie to Boston in 6 hours.....But I don't suggest it. Especially with a car in tow.

You know, I was one of those looking forward to getting a full descript of the trip.... HOWEVER, I now modify that request and would hope you avoid the TMI moments (too much information)... the condom mints would be TMI (shiver)

I was going to ask why it was called the 'Red Ball Express', now I DON'T WANT TO KNOW. What happens in the rest stops...stays in the rest stops. Don't forget to Red Bull.

Dang - straight to the gutter this one went.

Well - I for one want to see pictures - but not of any condom mints or red balls, or, well - you get the idea.

Just where are you going to park this pile of potential Mr. Lohnes?

The parking this has me slightly flummoxed at the minute. I could sit in my driveway, but that would REALLY piss off my wife. We've had so much GD snow (and another 10 inches is on the way), and it has been so cold, that normal hiding places like my dad's pallet business are off the table because the lots have shrunk so much.

Dad in Law does not have the space either. I think I'm going to fly the bat signal tonight and see if anyone local has a place to put it.

I'm going to scope out a rental garage to work on the thing in the next couple of days. That may be a join venture with me, dad and dad in law splitting the bill (so they could wrench on their junk there as well)

I would think in today's economy - renting a garage or a part of an old wharehouse or something would be easy to get done.

That sounds like a great idea. keep us posted.
